The life and times of the kids, Solack: Forever a Rookie

As we close in on year 3 of triplethood, you'd think that I'd be at Parent Level: Expert. Anybody who does something for 3 years has passed out of the rookie phase and is at least qualified to give advice/training to those coming up in the ranks. Not I, my friends I feel that I will forever be a rookie. You see, I'm what you might call a "Hot Mess Mom", never on time, my kids look like a blind, homeless person dressed them, and I never seem to have my brood under control. I often blame my "hot mess" status on having triplets, but they are about to turn 3. I wonder when the "I have triplets" excuse will run out? I feel like I should have a better handle on this by now, but every time I get one phase under my belt, a new one emerges and I'm a rookie all over again. For now, I'll continue to play the triplet card and hope that by middle school I'll at least be able to blame them for their appearance.

Besides nursing a broken foot back to health, we've also been nursing 3 sick kiddos back to health. They've each had a bout with some kind of virus that brought fevers and runny noses. The good news is that it is on it's way out and didn't cause too much trauma. We had a fun visit from Aunt Joan (who I'm sure is still wiped out from the few hours here!), and we thank her for fitting us in to her busy schedule. This weekend we are hoping for some warmer weather and relaxing!
