I Love a Parade

Especially when my little cuties are in it! Despite enduring some awful colds/allergies/sinus infection, they still had a blast in the Powell Memorial Day Parade.  Hudson brought along his harmonica to play for the crowd, and Sloane was happy to wave her flag.  Dylan was really not feeling well, so he simply tried to stay awake for the duration.  They saw lots of friends and family in the crowd and felt like celebrities.  When we in the car later that day Huddy asked me "Mom, are we American?" I replied that we are and he said "I love being American!"  I died laughing and said, me too buddy! He must have caught the patriotic spirit at the parade....I can't imagine where else he would acquire such patriotism.  ðŸ˜œ

Getting ready to step off.  They got to ride in a canoe!

Big crowd!

....Well she was an American girl, raised on promises...

Dyl might actually have been sleeping with his eyes open at this point

Besides tearing it up in the parade circuit, we laid mulch and did lots of yard work.  The kiddos really are very helpful, even if they get more dirty than a coal miner.   Huddy decided he wanted to take his shirt off like daddy.  He is pretty much awesome!
Strike a pose

We also visited the local dam.  They were mesmerized and I was surprised at how pretty it was!  We spent a long time throwing rocks in to the river.

Dam!

Sloane also got her first hair cut!  She had one little section of hair growing much, much longer than the rest in the back.  Our amazing neighbor is a hair stylist and set up shop in the backyard.  Sloane was so thrilled to get her hair cut and her new style looks great!

Ready for the styling to begin!

Such a good little client

This weekend we are looking forward to relaxing and hopefully getting over our colds or whatever it is that is ravaging our sinuses.  We hope you have a good one!
