We've officially been the Solack 5 for 5 whole months! This past week has brought some big changes for the trio. We've had our first taste of solid food with a big bowl of Oatmeal cereal! It was met with questionable favor, but after the first few tastes, they definitely ended up enjoying it. In fact, Dyl loved eating so much (shocking, I know) that during our dinner, he reached up and grabbed Auntie Lara's fork as she was putting it to her mouth! We are having a few bites of it everyday to practice for the good stuff, and will start having yummy pureed food in a few weeks.
Sloane and Hudson are rolling machines. Sloane rolls to her tummy every time she is laid on her back, while Hudson complements her nicely with a roll from his back to his belly every morning, thus signaling to all in the house that he is in fact ready to get up. Dylan has decided to skip past rolling over, opting to go straight to sitting up. While he hasn't exactly "mastered" the skill yet, he is going long stretches sitting on his own.
I'm only a little ashamed to admit it, but these past few weeks have been the most fun I've had with them. Everyday is filled with challenges, of course, but they are also full of giggles, peek-a-boo, and dancing. This stage has really displayed their personalities as they interact with not only me but each other, too. I'm looking forward to what the next few weeks will bring!

Sloane was too distracted by her tutu to smile for the picture.

Such a big boy!

Speaking of big boys...
I couldn't choose just one picture for our 5 month, so here are the best ones!

Yay for mom keeping us alive and well for 5 months

I had to include this one since it shows off their personalities perfectly. Nosey Sloane curious about what is going on outside, Hudson, hamming it up, and serious Dylan just making sure everything is ok. |
