Know what's super tricky?
Parenting triplets.
Know what's atomic tricky?
Parenting multiples during a power outage. That ultra, super level challenge was presented to us last night. Thankfully we only had a few hours of no lights, no monitors, no warm bottles and no heat. Whew.
I know that every parent ever has felt that as soon as they've gotten things "figured out" everything changes up on them. That's been the name of the game this week. "Hit a moving target" has been our objective recently. Things that they loved last week are no longer cared for, tricks that used to soothe them back to sleep stopped working and our typical schedule is all wacky now. We roll with the punches and try to adapt.
No new groundbreaking accomplishments this week. They've been enjoying peas and squash in addition to oatmeal cereal. Squash is definitely a favorite (see below). Sloane still loves to blow raspberries and rolling is her preferred mode of transportation. Dylan is nicknamed the pterodactyl, as his favorite game is "Scream (screech) as loud as I can". Hudson has the best smile on the planet and loves splashing in the tub.
Happy 24 weeks!
We had some professional pics done a few weeks ago. My uber talented friend Jenni took them again. We love how they turned out, and are so grateful for her!
