Gather round, kiddos. Mommy is going to tell you a tale about a time, not so long ago, when your parents used to be "cool". Those days have officially been put to rest, upon the arrival of this bad boy.

Meet the newest member of the family; Margot.

Kids, your mom and dad didn't always drive around the kid-mobile, and listen to the "Wheels on the Bus".  We used to drive cars with only two doors, on our way to concerts, sporting events (ones that you weren't even in!), weekend getaways, and fancy restaurants (ones with real, not paper, napkins!).  We used to stay out till midnight, or later!  Sometimes we would even go to the pool and read books, take loooooong naps, and not even get in the water above our knees.  I know this is a version of us that you will struggle to imagine.  But trust me, I have the pictures to prove it.
We say bye-bye to "Cool Erin and Cal".  But, I have to believe that we also say hello to a new brand of cool; "Cool Mom and Dad", and they are here to stay!  We are now the parents with the DVD player in the back, and a cooler in the front.  We've got room for you guys as well as all your stuff.  You can have like, 3 beverages each in the van, because it has 30 cupholders.  Heck, we might even have room to participate in a carpool someday!
It is entirely possible that Mommy and Daddy have entered into a society where it is no longer totally lame to rock a mini-van.  Perhaps we are now part of a new frontier that is accepting of our family ways, and might even appreciate the cargo room we now have.  It's a brave new world, kiddos, so buckle up and hey- it's okay if you drop some goldfish cause there's a built in vacuum in the back.

Kiddo Update:
The babes have been growing, growing, growing!  They are all flirting with walking, each taking 1-2 steps before falling.  They were superstars during the kitchen renovation, taking all the changes in stride.  I love watching them play together and laugh at each other.  We really are the luckiest.
