Staycation fun!

Dad is off work this week and we are taking our first ever family "staycation".  Since Cal and I have known each other we've always gone somewhere during this week of the year, however we decided to stay at Camp Solack for the holiday week.
Besides dealing with buckets of rain (19 days straight) and cool temps, we also had to take poor Hudson to the Doc for an ear infection.  He is on antibiotics and is getting better ever day.  Not necessarily how we envisioned this "relaxing" week going.
Things started looking better for us when we got a visit from Mom's friend (Auntie) Steph!  The few times the sun has shone on us we blew up the bounce house from Aunt Janelle, played in the sprinklers, and on the playground and went swimming at the YMCA.  We've been taking advantage of the vitamin D as much as we can!

This thing is awesome!

Toddler bed sleeping has had it's share of ups and downs.  Thank goodness for a monitor that allows me to talk (yell) to them.   Every night we put their stuffed animals to bed and tell them to "Stay in bed until you fall asleep".  They really enjoy telling them what to do and it seems to help them remember, too! As stressful as it's been I will say that it has not been as bad as I suspected it would be.  I hope it continues to get better.
We hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!
