Crazy Kids

The trio have really upped the ante when it comes to forcing us to come up with creative parenting strategies.  They've devised some entertaining ways to get attention, bend/break the rules, and make us laugh.  It's very difficult to stay one step ahead of them.

Dylan has been extremely interested in saying please and thank you and you're welcome...all at once. He is really good at taking care of both parts of the conversation.  For example;
Me- "Here is your milk, Dylan"
Dylan- "Thank you you're welcome"
We are still working it all out.  He also is very concerned with every one's safety and well being.  He is constantly telling me to "be careful" and "don't worry".  I was standing on a chair to hang something up, and he warned me (around 72 times) to "be careful, momma".  Hudson spilled some milk and he quickly replied "don't worry, Huddy Boop Boop".  He calls him Huddy Boop Boop...is that not the cutest thing you've ever heard?
At the moment, Dylan and Sloane are still sharing a room.  However, after this morning's antics, that is about to change.  Around 6:40 as I was preparing our milk cups, water cups and breakfast for the morning, I heard hilarious/devious laughter coming from their room.  When I turned on the monitor I found them completely naked and running around their room.  I'm thinking it's time to separate.  They definitely work together to come up with terrible ideas.

Speaking of Sloane.  She has decided to go ahead and start with the teenager attitude early.  Yesterday morning during a fight over eating her cereal bar she told me, "I can't do this anymore!" (I can't imagine where she's heard that....).  Later on she put both of her little hands on my face and said "Listen! I need a box".  She "needs" everything.  There are no wants, only needs...obviously.
Lately she's been consumed with drawing pictures.  She can sit for hours and color.  Some of her favorite things to draw are the Statue of Liberty, a house, and a smiley face.  They all look the exact same.  She is very creative.  Sometimes I'm not sure when she is pretending or being real.  For example; every single morning when I ask her what she dreamed about she tells me lions.  When I ask her what the lions do she replies that she bites them and that they are yummy yummy.
Okay......

On to Hudson, our little daredevil.  He remains the child that I just know is going to live life to it's limits.  He is the most ornery monkey, and has been ever since we laid eyes on him on the ultrasound.  He has perfected his somersault and his favorite activity is jumping off things.  If they had toddler American Ninja Warrior, he'd totally dominate.
He is also our little Paul Revere, alerting us to everything that's going on.  Who's crying, who is hurt and how they got hurt, who pooped, etc.  One day I went to get him from his room after nap, we had the following exchange:
Hudson-  Huddy pooped!
me- I can tell
Hudson- Huddy need a diaper change, better get out of here!

Never a dull moment around here!!

We took a field trip down to the Scioto River to do some exploring.
River rats....Just like their momma

Guess where that full cup of water went?

She made her own lunch.  Milk, a bun and a lemon.
