Preschool Saga- Part 2

Since I know you are all waiting with bated breath about the outcome of our adventures in registering for preschool...here comes the dramatic conclusion.
Last week I told you about a school we toured that we fell in love with and found out that there were very few spots available.  Registration was to start at 8:30am on a Tuesday morning that was -12 degrees.  Again, thinking that I was practicing an over abundance of caution, I arrived at 7:15am only to find that I was already 5th in line.  By the time 8:30 rolled around there were over 20 moms and dads in line to REGISTER FOR A TOTALLY OPTIONAL ACTIVITY.
I'm calm...I'm calm.
While waiting, I was chatting with other hopeful moms who informed me that another preschool was registering that day and there were families camped out starting at 3:30am!!!  I swear there should be a reality TV show about this process: "Desperate Moms of Preschool Aged Children of Powell".  I've never seen anything like it in my life.  The good news is that WE GOT IN!!!! Woo Hoo! The toddlers, Solack start preschool this fall.  The teachers will never be the same.
In other news- Sloane is really starting to get the hang of potty training.  She has only had one accident while we've been out, and that's only because I totally forgot she was in underwear.  If you follow me on Facebook, you've likely read the following story.  I was showing our rental property to a gentleman (stranger) and had the kids with me.  I opened the door to the master bath only to find Sloane totally naked and peeing on the potty (don't ask me why she was naked, still a mystery to me).  It was slightly awkward.  However, the important part is that she didn't have an accident!  We've put the brakes on training the fellas- but will try again this spring.
We want to send a huge shout out to Nana who dropped everything to come down and be babysitter extraordinaire while our hands were tied.  The kids had a great time and Cal and I were able to go to work.
We hope you are looking forward to a great weekend, and if you are on the east coast- stay warm and safe!
Chair in a chair.  Obviously necessary.

This is us at the grocery store.  No wonder we get so many stares.

I mean, could life get any better?  Nana, Gee Gee and a
rousing game of "Pop up Pirate"

Story time!  Sloane got the book out and said "I read to my brothers.  Once upon a time there was a snowman...."
Such a sweetie.
