In Hindsight

As I sat down to write the weekly post, I was less than inspired regarding a topic.  At first review, it seemed like the past week was pretty low key.  So I began to scroll through pictures for a cure from my writer's block.  It suddenly occurred to me that it was actually a pretty insane rollercoaster ride of a week.  I think sometimes I get into a groove of getting through one day at a time that once one day is over I tend to forget about it.
We started the week with a visit to the good doctor to treat Hudson for an asthma flare up.  Huddy buddy was a champ and luckily a breathing treatment and some steroids took care of that.  He is such a tough guy.  I definitely had a harder time with it than he did.

All better!

That same day we decided that Dylan's time with diapers had expired.  No more excuses, it's time to rip off the proverbial bandaid and never look back.  It definitely took some time to experience his first success, but I'm incredibly happy to report that after 3 days he has the number ones down pat.  We are still working on number twos but I have hope!!

ARRRRRRRRRGHHHH'nt you glad I'm doing great with potty training?
Don't worry, it's just a fun phone filter.
Sloane spent the week trying to get over a new found fear of bed time.  She had some unpleasant experiences during sleeping time in the weeks past (thunderstorms, power outages, smoke alarms sounding....etc) and she started to be fearful of going to sleep and talked a lot about "crazy shadows".  This was a very hard hurdle to get over, there is no rationalizing with fear.  I feel so badly for her, it's difficult to see your child frightened.
Sloane found a stick to beat the crazy shadows away
This weekend is going to be the quiet before the storm.  We leave next Thursday for vacation!! I'll be taking a break from the blog until we get back and will have tons of pics to share!

Check out that biker gang
