Road Tripping

The Solack 5 packed up the van and headed up north to Michigan to visit Nana and Papa.  We got lots of swimming done, plenty of playing, and got lots of grandparent snuggles.  The weekend was filled with firsts.  Dylan's first time jumping off a diving board, Huddy's first time going down a slide into a pool, first time out on a boat, Mom and Dad's first experience with the "Are we there yet?" barrage of questioning.
It went a little something like this:
Sloane: Are we there yet?
Me: Getting closer
Sloane: Are we there yet?
Me: We are getting closer.
Sloane: Are we there yet?
Me: We are still getting closer
Sloane: STOP SAYING THAT MOMMY!
Now isn't that for irony????

Mom and dad got a chance to get away and celebrate our 8 year anniversary (by going to Ikea! woo hoo!).  Thanks Nana and Papa for giving us a chance to catch our breath and relax for a while.

The kids had a great time and didn't want to come home.  I'd say the trip was a success!
Thank you to Martha for the awesome road trip goodie bags.  Even though she doesn't look it, Sloane was in 7th heaven with her cookies and dinosaurs.
Playing catch with Joce!
Row, row, row your boat!
Captain cutie
Looks like the S.S Minnow
Getting ready to set sail
Sloane is really getting good at writing the letter S!
