2 more weeks!

Sometimes I feel like I'm going to be permanently pregnant.  However, there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel these days! My mind is boggled that yesterday marked officially 2 weeks until our bundles of joy arrive.  As I type this I'm thinking back to the Fall when we first found out, and not wanting to jinx anything, tried to hide it.  In some ways Thanksgiving seems like a millennium ago, when we tried to pull one over Cal's parents.  Turns out, we were not successful.  It seems that me not drinking wine was a dead give-away....weird.  I'm also reminded of Christgiving as we wrap things up with this part of the adventure.  Carrying around a highball of Cranberry Ginger ale fooled most, but not all!   Aunt Paula gave me the biggest challenge of the evening, as she insisted I take a shot of someones homemade moonshine (yeah, it's that kind of party).  Somehow I got out of it!  Also, I got my first unsolicited tummy grab that night....Good times!
We are now in the phase of commemorating "lasts".  As in; Our Last Weekend Get-Away as Just the Two of Us.  Or; The Last Movie We See Without Needing a Sitter.  One noteworthy "last" was my 29th (read: 31st) Birthday.  We went out to a fabulous Dinner at The Pearl, our last fancy meal as just the two of us.  It was a great time, but we realized that we cannot wait to start commemorating "Firsts".

The kids got me flowers and this magnet for my birthday.  Oh man, they are going to be so disappointed when they meet me ; )

The kiddos had another Non-Stress test yesterday, and I'm very proud to say that they were super well behaved this time! The nurses found their heartbeats and were able to get excellent readings very easily this time.  Even Hudson, who is now well known in the office (oh boy, I'm better not have to get used to that statement), was a superstar.  All passed the test with flying colors.  Back to check again on Thursday.
