This parenthood thing is kind of taking up a lot of time. I've been meaning to update the blog for a while now, but for some reason(s) I keep running out of time! We are commemorating Daddy's 30th birthday with a new post. Cal's gift this year was one kid per decade of life : )

Life has definitely been an adventure these past few weeks. Not to be the stereotypical mother, but....the kids are getting so big! I swear they are bigger every time I get them out of their cribs in the morning (yes, they are sleeping in their cribs at night, and yes I cried when they graduated from the pack n' plays in our room). All are out of Premie sized clothing and are in Newborn, Dylan is even getting a bit too big for those! We go to the doctor for a well baby check-up on August 1st and we can't wait to find out how much they weigh. Daddy keeps trying to take them to the produce department of Giant Eagle to find out. I've successfully thwarted that mission so far. Anybody care to make a wager on their weights?? (Hey, we've got three college tuitions to pay for!)
We've gotten brave enough to take some trips out in public. They were perfect angels during our crafting trip to make Dad's mug. They slept the entire time, and were very popular, even posing for pictures! I think we are going to start charging for pictures and autographs. Just to balance things out, they were maniacs during our Nordstrom outing. My sweet little babies turned into screaming banshees, making noises I've never even heard before. Let's just say the Nordstrom crowd did not appreciate our presence. Once we got back to the car (a trip that, in reality took 15 minutes, felt like 3 hours) they immediately calmed and quieted down. Good times!
The kiddos are smiling, rolling from side to side, enjoying tummy time and just generally enhancing our lives. They enjoy going for our morning walks and playing in their "jungle gym". They are becoming much more alert and aware, we have so much fun just watching them, it's difficult to get anything done at all. In addition to the blog posts becoming less frequent, the picture taking is too. We are just living in the moment and enjoying every minute of it (well, we enjoy the quiet minutes slightly more).

Sloane, Hudson and Dylan are 5 weeks old!
|
Sloane is happy to be betrothed to Prince George, though I'm not sure he is good enough for her. I'm quite sure that she thinks her name is "pretty" as that's what we tend to call her most often and she actually responds the word more frequently than her name. She remains our most laid back, easy going child. Sloane loves to stretch out, it cracks us up to watch her wake up and stretch her arms above her head just like an adult would do.

| So so pretty! |
Hudson is becoming more and more alert and so much fun! He loves to play peek-a-boo and dance. Though he is still the smallest, he is making up ground for sure. He is responding to his name and tracks anything that interests him. He has a little temper on him, he goes from calm to screaming mad and back to calm again in 60 seconds! He makes us smile with his baby mood swings.

| Sorry you're wearing your sister's blanket, pal. |
Dylan is 5 weeks going on 5 months. We are blown away by how big he is. His cries are more like squeaks and he loves nuzzling up in my neck. He makes the funniest faces and has the biggest, bluest eyes. He stares down the little blue bird that hangs over his bouncer seat, we aren't sure if he loves it or hates it, but he won't let it out of his sight! He is sober serious most of the time, we are pretty sure he is going to be our rule follower and keep the other two in order (Thanks in advance, Dyl!).
