Hope Springs Eternal

We sincerely hope you enjoyed your first day of Spring.   As for us, we cuddled for warmth and watched our beloved Buckeyes play as cold as the temperature indicated.  Ugh.  Here's to hoping that more Spring-like weather is in our near future (and more W's for our Bucks next season).
In addition to celebrating the turning of yet another season, today we raise our glasses and toast to turning 9 months old!!
Mommy taught Sloanie a new trick.
Excellent choice, kid...a great vintage.
Tomorrow I have a meeting to tour an event space for their birthday bash...how is that even possible?  They are literally growing up before our very eyes, and yet they are still newborns in my mind.

Month number 9 ushers in new experiences with finger food, more bumps and bruises, lots of babbling, and general orneriness.  In addition to puffs and Cheerios, they've tried avocado, eggs and cottage cheese.  Sloane and Hudson love anything and everything we give them, they are excellent eaters.  Dylan is still struggling with skipping the chewing process and going straight to swallowing...How do you teach a baby to chew?!?!  All three are growing more daring with their furniture cruising, which is terrifying.  You'd think after several falls, they'd be a little more careful.
I had a terrible time getting one good picture this week, so please enjoy the series of attempts in it's stead.

Ok..the boys are kind of looking

Hudson, hamming it up

I've completely lost control.  Somehow, the fellas traded places.

....aaaaaaand Dyl has left the chair.

Our neighbors came home, and Sloane is obviously thrilled about it, while Dylan snacks on Hud's toes.

Hud would like to join Dylan on the floor.

TO THE CONTAINMENT POD!
Oh boy.

Sloanie girl is such a fun little peanut.  She doles out giant open mouthed kisses upon request, and will quickly remove your glasses from your face (she'd prefer us all to be blind, I think).  She loves playing "peek-a-boo" at the coffee table.  She will squat down behind the coffee table, and when I say "peek-a-boo" she pops up and giggles.  When I say "Bye Bye Sloane" and she ducks down, out of sight again.  Such a fun game!  She babbles "ba ba", "da da", "ma ma" and "la la" almost constantly and is experimenting with just how loud the can squeal (hint; it's really loud).

Bye Bye Sloane

Peek-a-boo!

Hudson, our little left handed boy, is also a babbling fool.  He prefers "ma ma" to other syllables.  He still loves his books, especially "Touch and Feel Baby Animals".  This book has different textures to touch and he gets so excited to feel them on every page.  He especially loves the baby hedgehog page (super fun scratchy velcro on that one!).  In typical left hander fashion, he is very rhythmic.  He can usually be found banging two blocks together, tapping his toes, or bouncing up and down.  There is a song in this boy's heart (It's "Wheels on the Bus")!

Dylan continues to be a giant in Babyland.  He has recently found his voice and "ba ba" is his preferred phrasing.  He FINALLY grew a tooth this week.  It was bizarre to see a baby his size with no teeth.  He loves playing with his siblings, but usually ends up mauling them in his attempts to play.  He thinks it is hysterical when daddy builds a tower out of blocks, and he loves knocking them down.  His favorite toy is the one that Hudson is playing with.  A super fun new skill he has learned is climbing the steps...yay!  He is too big for his infant car seat and has a brand new convertible seat on its way!

Many of you have likely seen it on Facebook, but who can really get enough of this video of Hudson's bedtime bloopers?? I think I've watched this 12,456 times.  It does not get old!

Next week we visit the doc for our 9 month check up...tune in then for stats!
