Wish list

If anyone is looking for some last minute gift ideas for me, here are a few:

I'd absolutely love a magic washcloth, or wipe that I can use to clean up the kids faces without them reacting as though I'm electrocuting them.

I'd be ecstatic to have the opportunity to finish building a tower.

A yoga mat. Not to use, just to be left rolled up in a corner of the house somewhere, so that people won't wonder why I wear yoga pants all day, every day.

Food or nourishment that comes in a pill form, so that I don't have to spend my entire day cleaning up the floor of unwanted food.

If anyone could take care of those wishes, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I've been mostly good this year!

Dylan and Sloane had their 18 month check ups this week (Hudson goes on the 29th).  Sloane weighs 23 pounds and is 33 inches tall, putting her in the 45th and 85th percentiles respectively.  Dylan weighs 33 pounds and is 34.5 inches tall.  He is in the 95th percentile for weight and off the charts for height!  Dr. Sarah reminisced about when they were born and weren't even on the charts yet since they were so small, and now Dyl has completely traversed the chart.  While Sloane's vocabulary is a little larger than her brothers, everyone is developmentally right where they should be.  It feels so good to be reassured that the kiddos are thriving and doing great.  I'll keep you posted on Huddy's numbers next time.

As previously mentioned Sloane's language development is growing at a rapid pace.  In typical girl fashion, she is a chatty cathy.  She calls Dylan "pickle" and inquires "Where go?" about Shermie's location every morning.  She is our entertainer, and is so super silly.  Just the other night Cal asked "Is it just me, or is Sloanie getting crazier everyday?"  You can just see her little wheels turning, thinking of new ways to make us laugh.

Hudson is an old soul.  He is always the first to share a toy and bring a book to one of his siblings who are sad.  If I'm comforting Dyl or Sloane after a tumble, he is always right there patting their backs.  He is the first one to show a little sign of being ready to potty train, as he backs his little bum up to me when he has pooped.  His favorite activity is getting a rag out to help me clean up the floor after meals.

Dylan has learned how to screw the lid on and off items, which is what you'll typically find him doing.  If he is not doing that, then he can be found rolling big trucks around on the floor.  He is great at making animal noises and tackling his siblings.  He is "all boy" as they say.

You may have noticed, the blog's title has changed.  I decided to face the cold hard truth that my babies are now toddlers.
tear.

Happy, Happy, Happy Holidays to one and all!!
