It genuinely is like they went to sleep one night and woke up the next morning 3 inches taller and 3 months older. I suppose that's why they call it a "growth spurt" and not a "growth trickle", but still I'm shocked by how big they've gotten in such a short amount of time.
Sloane (in true girl fashion) is a chatter box. She is always surprising (and scaring) me with the phrases that come out of her mouth. I'm most proud of her for using the words "thank you" and "sorry". Yesterday she thanked me for changing her diaper! The best story of the week is from Sloane, who called Huddy a "bad guy" for taking her sippy cup. With all the hilarity, also comes head butting. She's begun to get a little more headstrong, even telling me "no" and "stop" recently. Terrible Twos....here we come.![]() |
She's also recently taken a large interest in building with blocks, She is so patient and so focused, it's incredible...she did not get that from me.

Using, NOT EATING a crayon! Woo Hoo!
Dylan is growing by leaps and bounds as well. His is more of a physical growth, though. Clothes that fit him the day before, now are two inches too short. Which begs the question....what size comes after 2t? Can't possibly be 3t. My little 20 month old boy cannot be wearing 3t. Is 3t even a real size? He has also grown into a pretty big cuddle bug. He used to enjoy snuggling the least, but now he is the king of the bear hug. His vocabulary is expanding as well as his height. He has gotten really good at finding the book on the shelf when told the title. He amazes me everyday!

Don't mind me, just chowing on this chicken tender.

Happy boy!
Hudson is showing signs of being our good math student. His favorite activity is counting the steps when we go downstairs. He is getting pretty good at one-to-one correspondence as well. In addition to numerical prowess, he is growing in the basketball department as well. Not to be outdone by his dunking brother, Huddy learned how to catch and score as well!

This kid is too much!
Watch for the "#1" at the end (right before he gets
nailed in the face with the ball. So what if he is
standing on a potty??
I promised to keep you posted, so here it is; dropping the kids off at the Y is getting easier and easier! Sloane actually ran in to the room today. We've had 3 drop-offs without any tears. The fun never stops around here!
