A Life translated

On occasion life can be very literal and easily understood.  The other 90% of the time there is a hidden meaning behind messages and words.  Therefore, I present to you a day in our lives; translated.

From the strangers in public places:

You have your hands full!- You are struggling, woman and it's painfully obvious.
They are so busy!-  Please control your brood
They are your only kids, right?- A suggestion to not have anymore children, because you have more than you can handle already.
I thought triplets had to be all the same gender- I may not have finished High School
Are they identical?- I definitely did not finish High School

From the kids to me:

Beeuhba- Banana
Noonies- Noodles
Oh No!- This one is tricky.  It could either be "That picture frame is 6 millimeters off center" or "I just tore down the ceiling to floor banner at the front of the store."*
NO!- Another tricky one.  It could be no, yes, maybe, okay, definitely not, perhaps, I'm not sure, etc.  One thing is certain, when in doubt, say "no."

From me to the kids

Time to brush your teeth- I'm going to torture you
I'll be right back- She is never coming back, we should have a meltdown
Diaper change- Run around the house and hide
Do not throw your food- It is now time to throw your food
I'm going to the bathroom- We are all going to the bathroom

On a related note, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone reading this.  The fact that you find our lives interesting enough to tune in every week is a huge compliment.  It is an incredibly nice feeling knowing you are out there and listening.  Writing this blog is way cheaper than therapy! And there's no translation necessary for that!

*An actual event that Dylan coordinated at Carters.

Sloane Selfie.

Hudson took a break from coloring (actually coloring,
not eating the markers! Progress!) to cheese for the camera.

Hi, my name is Dylan and I put 3 pounds of Aquaphor in my hair.

Hamming it up

I want YOU to have a great weekend

Aquaphor in my hair, marker in my mouth.  Life is good.
The video of the week is from Sloane, who is still working out which face goes with which emotion.
