Growing Pains

Recently, you could easily convince me that the tiny army of humans I live with are bi-polar.  They've been either the best, most adorable, sweet, kind, loving beings to ever walk the Earth, or Satan.  It's nearly inexplicable. Nearly.
And then, one morning Sloane asked me to measure her on their height chart.  I reluctantly agreed, since we just measured them 3 weeks ago.  Imagine my surprise when she came in an entire inch (and then some) taller than she was just a few short weeks ago.  It was definitely an enlightening moment, shedding some light on why it's been crazy town around here.  Hudson eats around the clock, and I'm not kidding even a little bit when I tell you that, one day his pants were 3 inches too short.  It must be hard on them growing so fast, I'm trying to be understanding and give them (and myself) a break when they are having a Sybil moment.

They are growing in other ways too.  Using adult language, and breaking my heart.  They boys have both used the words "Stupid" and "Hate" this week.  To be fair,  Dylan was just quoting from the Charlie Brown Christmas movie, but I still didn't like hearing that word coming out of his mouth.  He kept repeating "Get rid of that stupid blanket!" and laughing his head off.  Thanks a lot Lucy!
While out for a walk Huddy proclaimed "I hate the rain".  I can't tell you how sad that made me.  This was the very first time the word hate was used.  I liked it better when they didn't even know the word or it's meaning.  I'm glad he was just describing how he feels about the rain, but still...it breaks my heart.

We hope you are looking forward to a great weekend!

Pretty Sloane

This picture of Dylan just makes me laugh.

Rub a dub dub, three cuties in a tub
I told the kids to get in the car and came out to find this. Why?  Just....why?? Huddy being Huddy.

They read the book "The House that Jack Built" at school and he's been busy building houses all week long.
