That's about all we've been up to recently. The kiddos caught a cold late last week- I should say Hudson caught a cold, then spread it to Sloane, who so kindly shared it with Dylan. It's definitely no fun having sick kids, I'm truly hoping it is on its way out.
Between nose wiping and medicine dosing, the trio have been testing my limits around the clock. The 3 of them divide up and take on either trash can emptying, vent cover removing, or table climbing. It's been a week of time outs for the kids and wine for mom. I understand that this is what kids do and it's how they learn, but I'm waaaayyy outnumbered, and super tired of shouting "NO! Don't eat out of the trash can!" (found Dyl eating a pancake from the trash can...the same pancake he refused at breakfast). I'm really hoping that discipline is like an investment. I put the time and effort into teaching them to follow the rules now, and I won't have to bail them out of jail later. Side note: Kids- If you get arrested, you better just get comfy in there. Mom is not bailing you out.
On a happier note, we took the kids to the Powell Oktoberfest and they had a blast!! There was lots of great music that they loved dancing to. It was so fun watching them get down and have fun.
