Over the River and Through the Woods

To Nana's house we went!  I'm very proud and happy to report that the kiddos did wonderfully on our trip to Lake Orion.  They were great road trippers and I felt that they were good house guests.  Nana and Papa worked tirelessly to make a great holiday for everyone and the kid's happiness and behavior was evidence that it was a success.
Sloane and Elise were fast friends.  She was thrilled to have another girl around to play with.  I thought Sloane was going to go through Elise withdrawal when we left, but she is coping well.  The boys loved seeing everyone and playing with the choo choo and race car in the basement.

Cousin Love
Bunch of Cuties!

This week has been crazy busy, between work (!), decorating for the holidays and doctor appointments the days have flown by.  Tomorrow we go pick out our Christmas tree and Saturday we will head to our town's tree lighting.  I love this time of year, and the kids are enjoying it very much too!  Speaking of the holidays- our elf, Shermie has come back to watch over the kids and help them make good choices.  The story is that the elf watches them during the day then goes back to the North Pole at night to tell Santa if the kids were naughty or nice.  When he gets back he finds a new place in the house to hang out.  You can't touch him or he will lose his magic.  Well, on the second morning when the kids found Shermie in a new spot, I excitedly asked them "How do you think he got there?!?!" To which they replied "You moved him, Mommy".  Let it never be said that my children are not rational.  They are not buying the whole "magic" thing.
